#tide ocean material® has been awarded several times for its holistic and global approach: A technological solution to fight pollution while creating a social and environmental impact

Startup Autobahn Sustainability Award

#tide and Motherson won the Stuttgart 2024 Startup Autobahn Sustainability Award powered by Plug & Play for developing an instrument panel made from tide's recycled polypropylene. Through this collaboration, #tide has demonstrated that high-quality recycled plastic can successfully replace large plastic components in automobiles without compromising quality, while at the same time creating a strong social and environmental impact.
Prix Strategis

In May 2024, we had the honor of winning 2nd place in one of Switzerland's most prestigious start-up competition: the Prix Strategis Award, which recognizes the country's best start-ups. We also received the B-Lab Switzerland prize for our achievements in sustainability.
Swiss Packaging Award

Migros’ Handy Fresh Ocean bottle made from our #tide ocean material has won the Swiss Packaging Award in 2 categories: Marketing and Public Voting. «This success means a lot to us», #tide co-founder Marc Krebs says. «The public award in particular shows that our customers value the work we are doing to tackle plastic pollution and protect the oceans.»
Swiss Plastics Award

We have made our #tide ocean material® fully transparent thanks to a public blockchain technology. For this groundbreaking achievement, we have won the Swiss Plastics Expo Award in the Business category after winning this Award in the Sustainability section 3 years ago.
Swiss Ethics Award

In May 2022, #tide was honoured by the Swiss Excellence Forum with the Swiss Ethics Award. "Tide Ocean tackles an environmental problem of enormous scale and global significance with a groundbreaking innovation", the jury said.
Swiss Plastics Award

In 2020, Tide Ocean and our research partner IWK have won the first-ever Swiss Plastics Expo Award in the Sustainability Category. "We were particularly impressed by how #tide is giving discarded plastic its value back," the Jury said.
Hong Kong Intl. Business Awards

The innovative solution of recycling ocean-bound plastic and transforming it into a new products led in 2020 to special recognition in Asia: the Hong Kong International Business Award was handed over to #tide and mother company Braloba in the Manufacturing Category.
Materialica Design & Technology Award

In 2019 #tide won the German Design & Technology Award Materialica. Jury member Peter Naumann (Professor in Design, Munich University) said: "I find it very exciting how #tide takes a problem and turns it into new products."

Certifications

Our #tide ocean material®'s supply chain is certified by the Global Recycled Standard and the recycled Claim Standard. Additionally, #tide is Ocean Bound Plastic certified. Strict protocols are in place to monitor and guarantee our unmatched quality standards.
